Art Garage Showcases Dominican Culture and Art in Their Newest popup exhibition

In the Stockton Art Garage of Atlantic City their newest pop up exhibit until February 27 show cases the Dominican Republic Culture and Art as apart of the cities taste of culture series that the city is teaming up with the Art Garage for.

With the exhibit shown in the Art Garage “This event is very important. It lets everyone, Dominican people in particular, be proud of where they come from and more integrated,” said Luis Rodriguez, president of La Casa Dominicana, who worked on the Dominican exhibit.

Luis Rodriguez, who is the president of the Non Profit Organization La Casa Dominicana, which is an organization that seeks out to help improve the Hispanic Community’s quality of life. The Non Profit helped work on the exhibit with the Art Garage team. 

“Many of the City of Atlantic City Multicultural Service upcoming events, such as the Dominican Republic display and flag-raising ceremony, are based on Atlantic City demographics,” said Nambo. “There are a lot of Dominican Republic residents in our city, and we want to highlight their culture.”

Mimi Nambo is the special events coordinator for the city’s Multicultural Services department, said every program that comes out of the office has a goal of educating the public and understanding different cultures.

The Exhibit will end on February 27, 2023 with the Dominican Flag raised at the  Atlantic City City Hall at 12:30pm to end the Celebration.
