Hi there! My name is Alyssa Collier, welcome to my world of imagination. Ever since I was young, I have always been imaginative or creative. However, I did not discover my artistic abilities until later on in life; now obtaining a second Bachelor’s Degree in the Visual Arts with a concentration in Visual Communications. My personal design/art style is inspired by anything from collage, mixed media, Pop Art, or playful illustration. Sometimes there are certain elements of Art Nouveau, Dadaism or Surrealism as well. Although most importantly, I love to emphasize design principles and color! In regards to my subject matter, I like to include anything that is of personal interest to work within my design. This could include shapes, nature, birds, iconic people, classic stories, sculpture/architecture and particular fandom of interest. Overall, I am a versatile artist with flexibility to design whatever would work best for a project to get done successfully. There is always something new to learn and I am always looking for new opportunities; continuing to grow as an artist. Along with designing, there is a special place in my heart for illustration or creative writing; particularly for children’s books. I have always been drawn to different styles or textures of children’s books. I have completed my first official children’s book and in the process of completing a second for a personal client.
