Cassandra Aponte

Southern New Jersey painter, Sage Marie A. has been developing her skills in studio arts since 2019. She mostly works with acrylic medium but dables in oil painting, wire sculptures, and photography. Her passion for art started at a young age encouraged by her great grandmother. Her inspirations come from generational trauma and artists such as Jenny Saville and George Condo. A majority of her works are portraits depicted in a grotesque manner urging the viewer to face the ugly truths and to speak the unspoken.
