Hi, I am Jordyn Simon. I am a Visual Arts major with a concentration in Visual Communications. I am also minoring in Digital Literacy & Multimedia design along with Business Administration. This is my senior year at Stockton University and I plan on graduating in the Fall of 2024. The arts have always been something that I enjoyed since I was a kid. I vividly remember in elementary school going to the computer lab and using the digital art tools. As I got older, I took art classes inside and outside of the classroom to advance my technique.

I started my freshman year as a Criminal Justice major and found myself missing the arts. This is when I knew I had to make the switch. Returning to my roots, I became a Visual Arts major. I also wanted to incorporate a business aspect to this material to take things to the next level. Since studying this in school, my horizons have broadened and I have learned so many new things and found even more interests in this field, solidifying my decision. I have integrated my love for art in my personal life by creating graphic posters for my sorority on campus. These graphics advertise philanthropy and events to the Stockton student body to help raise awareness for our involvement on campus. I also created vision boards to inspire the other members in my sorority to incorporate their own twist and style on our themed events. I have found that I enjoy creating websites, posters, and layout design with a modern and trendy aesthetic. I hope to continue to pursue this type of work in the future as I continue to learn and grow as an artist. Looking back, this has been a humbling experience to see my journey from meek beginnings into an emerging graphic designer with so many opportunities ahead.
