Hello! My name is Katelyn Rider and I am graduating with a B.F.A. major with a concentration in visual communications and a minor in business studies. Although I feel I have been creative since a young age, my passion for graphic design started my sophomore year of high school when I was introduced to photoshop in my arts classes. Ever since then my passion has only continued to grow and I knew that this was the path I wanted to take.
Throughout my education here at Stockton, I have learned a lot about the fundamentals of art. I have become proficient in the Adobe Suite, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and XD. However, I was also introduced to the ways of traditional art. While the studio courses here at Stockton are full of fun, creativity, and messes, I still always found myself gravitating back to graphic design.
After graduation, I hope to continue my passion for graphic design. Whether those opportunities come in the form of a full-time job, freelancing, or personal projects. I am sure design will always be a part of my life.
