I’m Tevin Ayebare. I’m a Visual Arts major with a concern in illustration. I was born in Kampala, Uganda and until I moved to the US at eight years old, I didn’t know you could be an artist as a profession as my talent and preference for art was shunned and seen as a learning disability by my school in Uganda and my family. So when I started to learn to draw at school, I needed to adopt the art of hiding my art and drawings until I fought for my ability to draw far later in life so I had no regrets. And now at Stockton, I’m finally able to create freely and learn from my talented professors and peers. I enjoy sequential art like comic books and have an ambition of illustrating my own comics or working for Marvel at some point.
