Hello! I’m Tyler, and I’m a gduate with a B.F.A. in Visual Communications! My graphic design career began more than four years ago out of a passion for both art and computer software, and I knew that it would be the right thing for me before transferring here in 2022. This does not mean that my career was without struggle, though! One of my largest obstacles has been my excessive shyness, with it even affecting my work to a degree, but I’ve been making huge progress at being more open through volunteering and being brave. During my time at Stockton, I’ve learned a ton about what it means to be a professional graphic designer, from printing and color theory to learning the technicalities of every Adobe Application. I’ve also gained a huge passion for photography; web design and coding; game development; and oil painting as a student.

In my free time, I often work on a variety of small projects, learning new skills and gaining proficiencies as I go. I am mostly inspired by the design of popular websites and magazines as well as the work of my professors and fellow alumni, while video games serve as inspiration for some of my more original projects. While creating a new work, I try to be as innovative as I can as I experiment with new styles and themes.

My exhibition this semester features a variety of my favorite work within a cozy and welcoming space. After I graduate from Stockton, I plan on continuing my passion for graphic and web design, whether it’d be in a professional team or completing freelance work. You can see most of my work as well as my social media at tylermcclelland.com. I would like to thank all of my professors and friends for supporting me throughout my time here, and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me!
