That unspoken quality is one of my favorite things about art. It can\u2019t stay inside of me and I simply have to draw at every point I can. I\u2019ve spent most of my education sketching through every class with whatever tiny pencil and empty space in a notebook margin I could make my own, and so it feels almost strange that I can do it all the time now. I don\u2019t ever want to let a moment slip by where I could be making something.<\/p>\n

When I was very young, I realized my drawings could make other people laugh and it\u2019s always been my favorite feeling. I love knowing that my work makes other people as happy as making it makes me. This exhibit is full of the many different ways I have discovered how to express myself and create pieces of places that don\u2019t exist but are very real to me, and I\u2019m so excited and grateful to get to share my ideas with the world.<\/p>\n

I would not be where I am now without the support and encouragement of my dad with whom I share a passion for the visual arts, and my mom who\u2019s an incredibly witty writer, both of whom helped me discover a passion for using these skills for creating comics. I\u2019m also eternally grateful for the love of so many others who have pulled me in all sorts of directions and taught me that inspiration can come from anywhere. Honing my skills here at Stockton has shown me new methods of creating and thinking about my work that I will carry with me throughout my career.<\/p>\n
