I\u2019m Evan Carr and I am a Visual Arts major with a concentration in Visual Communications.
\nThroughout my life I always considered myself a creative, but it wasn\u2019t until college that I
\ndiscovered my true identity as an artist. What started as messing around editing videos and
\ncreating cover art for friends, budded into a new major and a growing passion for design.<\/p>\n

I am always searching for the line where art connects with the rest of my life, and for me that
\nhas consistently been music. This connection between art and music has led me to
\nopportunities to create things like album covers, music videos, and concert posters. It has
\nallowed me to collaborate with talented artists and musicians, and act as the head of PR for the
\nbiggest music club at Stockton. But most importantly it has allowed me to create on the overlap
\nof eyes and ears, through artistic visuals and melodic audio together. Music and art are some of
\nthe most valuable things we have and I will always look for more ways to bring them together.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s most interesting about design is that at the heart of it, design is expressive problem
\nsolving. You are given a problem and through design you can take a blank canvas and
\ntransform it into something special. There is not one right answer in design, and through your
\npersonal vision, that canvas, and that solution become your own. This is why I\u2019m always
\nsearching for the next new way to get better and find that new solution. Shapes, Textures and
\nColors are how I express my mind and creativity. It\u2019s design that ignites such emotion in me.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m so grateful for the art I HAVE made, and so excited for the art I WILL make.<\/p>\n
