My name is Joseph Parisse, and my major is in Visual Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. My parents knew I had talent in drawing at an early age, so pursuing it as a career was something I never doubted for a second. I had drawings displayed in the high school art show when I was still in elementary school, spent some time in an art school outside of regular classes to learn techniques and different mediums, and I continue to draw for fun in my spare time. When it came to colleges, Stockton felt more than home. I\u2019m forever grateful for the friends I\u2019ve made here, the professors who taught me so much, and my family for getting me to this point in my life.<\/p>\n
Throughout most of high school, and all of college, I learned so much about myself. Besides building my portfolio and improving in certain skills, the most important lesson I learned is that everyone\u2019s journey is different. As an artist, your experiences help you develop your style and build confidence in showing yourself in your work. As a person, you find out who you are to show in your art. It took me a long time to really figure out who I was outside of my art, but I never gave up. Support from my friends and family and appreciating the beauty in life through the eye of an artist is what keeps me going with my chin up and love in my heart.<\/p>\n
I love art with every fiber of my being, and it continues to grow with each passing day. Whether it\u2019s watching a movie, an animated television show, listening to music, or reading a book, not a day goes by where art isn\u2019t in my life. It\u2019s a part of me that I don\u2019t know what I would do without, so I make sure to appreciate it as much as possible. Just like the artists who inspired me, I hope I can continue that cycle by making stuff that inspires other people to create. The biggest impact I want to make in this world isn\u2019t anything revolving fame or wealth. I want people to know that following your dream, no matter how big, small or crazy, is what life\u2019s all about. Find what your passionate about, what gets you up in the morning, and go for it.
